In a tragic event that shook the community of Pinar del Río, a Cuban citizen, much loved in his town, was murdered in what appears to be a robbery in his own home.

As reported by Niover Licea through its social networks, the victim was identified as Rolando Lazo Blanco, who became part of the macabre list of homicides that frequently plague the territory.

“Rolando Lazo Blanco was murdered, presumably last Sunday to rob him”Licea reported.

According to preliminary investigations, Rolando surprised two thieves in his home, who immediately carried out their act of violence.

“They even stole a bag of beans, a telephone… they couldn’t take the refrigerator and what they did was they took a bicycle that was inside the house and threw it in front to hide it.”Licea continued.

Rolando’s sister, worried about not seeing him, came home and, when she couldn’t find him, she got scared and began the search.

“That was on Monday, they found his body in a mountain very close to the house because they saw Tiñosas Auras”Licea recounted, describing the scene as Dantesque.

It was reported that the authorities of Pinar del Río captured a person related to the crime, an individual who already had a criminal record.

A crucial detail in the investigation is the stolen phone, which has been sold several times since it was stolen.

“The phone that was stolen has been sold three to four times,” Licea revealed, indicating that the first sale was for 5,000 pesos and the next for 25,000 pesos.

The community and Rolando’s loved ones demand justice and ask the authorities to find the other murderer. “A person so loved by the people who knew him did not deserve to die like that”Licea concluded.

While these things are happening, the dictatorship continues to affirm that robberies with violence or murders do not exist in the country.
