A 15-member committee will undertake to “run” the part of culture in the Municipality of Ioannita, after the integration of the Non-profit Enterprise for Culture, Environment, Youth and Sports in the Municipality.
The initial proposal for the Culture Committee, which will be chaired by the Deputy Mayor for Culture Minas Paschopoulos, was to have 13 members, with only one member from the opposition, however, following the wish of the head of the main opposition Dimitris Papageorgiou to have two people from the faction and the compromise proposal of the head of the faction “Ioannina_2023” Tatiana Kalogianni to “fit” one of hers, the committee became 15 members.
Apart from Minas Paschopoulos, the principal musician Giorgos Chlitsios, the lawyer Manolis Kapelidis, the choreographer-choreographer Aristea Litou, the professor emeritus of the University of Ioannina Ariadni Tattis-Gartziou, the assistant professor of History – Archeology of the University of Ioannina and a member of the Foundation Member of Parliament Nikos Anastasopoulos, the writer Michalis Spegos, the professor at the University of Macedonia, musician Konstantinos Raptis, the retired musician Byron Kapsalis, the owner of the Ali Pasha and Pre-Revolutionary Museum Fotis Rapakousis, the radio producer Dimitris Sioros, the honorary curator of antiquities Varvara Papadopoulou and from the opposition, the municipal councilor and former president of the Spiritual Center Eleni Akonidou, the filmmaker-curator of exhibitions Christos Papadopoulos and the municipal councilor Lula Verbi.
And Committee for the Municipal Gallery
Following the proposal of the vice-mayor Minas Pashopoulos, the municipal council of Ioannina proceeded with a committee for the upgrading and proper operation of the Municipal Gallery.
This committee has 11 members, chaired by Minas Paschopoulos and members the professor emeritus of the University of Ioannina, art historian Nikos Katsikoudis, the architect, deputy professor of the University of Ioannina Giorgos Smiris, the deputy professor at the School of Fine Arts Stefanos Tsiodoulos, the sculptor Costas Kazakos, the professor emeritus of the University of Ioannina Apostolos Katsikis, art historian Eleni Margari, deputy mayor Thomas Yotitsa and from the opposition, former mayor Philippa Filios, art historian Nikos Vadaloukas and municipal councilor Vassilis Kosmas.
