GERB and DPS are sabotaging the recovery plan and that is why Bulgaria has not yet received the second tranche of the recovery plan – their former partners from the PP-DB accused them of this at a briefing in parliament. It is about the second tranche under PVU.
The former Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov explained that in order for the second intimidation to come under the PVU, four acts must be adopted, among which are the changes in the law on personal bankruptcy and the rules for elections of members of the CPC.
The third unenacted law is for the protection of whistleblowers. It was introduced last year by the Council of Ministers. The fourth is the road map for climate neutrality, which is included in the weekly program of the parliament.
Three specific reasons for which GERB and DPS took us to elections. First, to maintain their majority in the SJC. Second, to be able to use the anti-corruption commission, which has increased powers but with old leadership. Third, to get amnesty for the period before 2021.
Until the reforms are implemented, of course, we will not receive the funds. Postponing liberalization will do nothing. With the onset of liberalization this summer, prices will change by 1-2% and it is not clear up or down. This is a populist move that will make next year’s liberalization even more difficult, said Academician Nikolay Denkov.
