The leaders of my Bangladesh Party (AB) said that people’s lives are disrupted due to intense heat. Severe recession in all sectors including agriculture, industry. People are confused by loadshedding of electricity. Poor people are in indescribable suffering. There is no room in the hospital due to the outbreak of disease and grief. In short, the country is burning in the heat. But there is no problem with the five percent government. Even in this situation, they are playing the trumpet of false development.

The leaders said these things at a press conference held at the party’s central office in Vijay Nagar on Tuesday (April 23) in protest against the government’s silence and inaction in the context of severe heatwave, environment and public life, nationwide power crisis.

Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, joint member secretary of the party, and Professor Dr. AB Party joint convener Advocate Tajul Islam and Member Secretary Mojibur Rahman Manju addressed the media briefing under the chairmanship of Abdul Wahab Miner.

Advocate Tajul Islam said that industrialized countries are mainly responsible for global warming. But at the end of the day we have to manage our own survival on our own initiative.

AB Party as a responsible political party is presenting its statement in front of the nation to make the people aware of the current situation, he said, our country used to be prosperous, what has happened today! We have to take into account why nature, the environment is behaving so badly. Bangladesh’s rivers and canals are all on the verge of exhaustion. The neighboring country is in the process of turning Bangladesh into a desert by building dams at the source of major rivers. The leaders and activists of the ruling party have occupied canals and constructed buildings illegally. Not only the trees of the forest, but even the trees of the roads have been cut and destroyed. For preventing the cutting of forest trees, the government forces even bulldozed the forest officer to death. To save the country, to save the next generation, we have to play a role now.

Member Secretary of the party Mojibur Rahman Manju said, in the last 3 decades, a reservoir of 24 square kilometers has disappeared from the capital. About 10 square kilometers of greenery has been cleared. Behind them are the influential circles under the umbrella of the government.

He said that the public life of the capital’s residents is disrupted today due to intense heat. Most of it is the responsibility of the ruling party. Alleging that there is severe recession in all sectors including agriculture and industry during the intense heat, he said that the government has made profit by producing electricity, but people are disoriented due to frequent loadshedding of electricity. Describing the indescribable suffering of the poor people, he further said that due to the outbreak of disease and grief, there is not enough space in the hospitals. Even in this extreme suffering and hardship of the people, the five percent dummy government is playing the trumpet of false development.

Dr. Major (retd.) Minar said, everyone should be aware of the intense heat. Urging the people suffering from heatstroke to be careful, he said, we will also try to do something for the common people according to our ability, Inshallah.
