North Korea tested a very large warhead designed to be loaded onto strategic cruise missiles, state media reported on Saturday, adding that the country also launched a new type of anti-aircraft missile.
“The Missile Administration of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea conducted a power test of a very large warhead designed for the Hwasal-1 RA-3+ strategic cruise missile,” the North’s Korean Central News Agency reported.
She added that North Korea also test-fired the “Biulgi-1-2” missile on Friday afternoon (Pyoljji-1-2) New type anti-aircraft missiles over the western sea of Korea.
She indicated that “a certain goal was achieved” through the test, without providing further details.
The agency stated that both tests were part of “the normal activities of the administration and its defense science institutes.”
It considered that these military experiments were “unrelated to the situation surrounding” the country, without providing any other information.
