Siphia Vision, an auto-tech company that develops, manufactures and markets advanced AI-based technologies and systems for driver and interior monitoring of vehicles and vehicle fleets, announced today that it has learned from an existing customer, an American car brand in China, that two of the seven car models the company won with This brand, for the implementation of the Driver Sense system, is designed for production on a new platform. The inclusion of these models on a new platform expands the implementation potential of the Driver Sense system to other vehicle models on the same platform.
Winning the two models belonging to the new platform occurred in September 2021, and serial production is expected to begin in early 2023. To date, the company has won 7 car models of the same American brand. A production contract was signed for all the said winnings.
With the addition of this platform, the company has won tenders for the implementation of the Driver Sense system on 23 different vehicle models (Design Wins), on 8 platforms with 5 different car manufacturers (with one model for which the company won, a final contract has not yet been signed). The manufacturers include an electric car manufacturer in the US, an American car brand in China and three other leading car manufacturers in China. Since a platform usually consists of several car models, winning a model from a platform is an indication that the company may win more models on the same platform.
