The activities of the fourth meeting of Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Community of Sahel-Saharan Countries (S-S) kicked off this morning in the capital, Tripoli.
In the opening session, the Minister of Youth and Sports in the Government of National Unity welcomed the delegations participating in Libya after a long interruption of these meetings, expressing thanks to the Executive Secretariat of the gathering for preparing and preparing for the meeting, and saluting the delegations of experts who made efforts over two days to prepare the memorandums and agenda items, announcing The start of the ministerial meeting.
Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dabaiba also delivered a speech within the context of the meeting.
The attendees agreed that Libya would chair the session, that Central Africa would be vice-president, and the Republic of Niger would be rapporteur of the bureau. The proposed agenda items were agreed upon, so that the conference’s work could begin.
Randa Gharib, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, presented the report of the expert meeting for the fourth session of the assembly’s meetings, which included several items, the most important of which were the status of initiatives and programs dedicated to youth, youth migration, the current status of youth and solutions, social and professional integration, and solving youth unemployment. And sustainable development, establishing a coastal youth network, launching development programs for youth for security and combating poverty, and establishing the Youth Center and the Youth Hostel Union.
During the past two days, meetings of the group’s experts took place in preparation for the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Youth and Sports.
The experts reviewed the proposals submitted by member states regarding the establishment of a federation of youth hostels in the Community of Sahel-Saharan Countries (S/S) and other proposals.
The meeting discusses issues of concern to young people in the countries of the group, and cooperation mechanisms to develop ambitious programs capable of meeting the aspirations and needs of young people and integrating them into the context of modernity while preserving their national identity.
