The well-known actress Nektaria Giannoudaki revealed the reason she left “Sasmos”, while she talked about the role of Archontoula in the series “Psychokores”.
Guest on The 2Night Show was on Monday night (22/04) Nektaria Giannoudakiswho talked about the hit series “psycho girls” to ANT1 where she participates, for her departure from “Samos” to Alpha, for her childhood in Crete, but also for her strict family.
Nektaria Giannoudaki: Crete, “Sasmos” and the vendetta
“I grew up in Crete and my family was very strict. I wanted to go to study in Athens which was further away. My parents dreamed of me finishing French Literature at the age of four, returning to Chania and opening a French tutoring school for me. I announced to my parents that I was going to be an actor in my second year of Drama School. They took it a bit to heart, they transferred it differently to my grandfather because he was stricter and had a weakness for me. They told him I was going to journalism school. I had to fight and prove that I am not an elephant. They were afraid that I would become an exile and a pro-soldier. I got a degree in French Literature after 13 years because I don’t want to leave any unfinished business” the beloved actress initially said.
Regarding her participation in Alpha’s “Sasmos” and the reason she left in the third season, Nektaria Giannoudaki revealed: “I played in “Sasmos”, I was the mother of Eugenia Samaras. My end was not written. My role lives and reigns, has been to Marseilles and is working. When I got the proposal for “Psychokores” it was not certain that Sasmos would go to the third year nor did I know if my “family” would continue and have history. Speaking with Mr. Karagiannis he told me he didn’t have an answer at the moment so I had to choose. I couldn’t support it because the ANT1 series had 10 hours of shooting for quite some time. I couldn’t do both“.
At this point, in fact, she also referred to the real vendetta her family had in Crete. “During the quarantine when all of us actors were looking at the ceiling, something like a vendetta had happened in Crete. I had found a criminologist and thought of doing a show called “Sasmos”. And a few months later I see an announcement that a series called “Sasmos” will be released. It was karmic! I, too, in the midst of inaction, sent a resume. I didn’t know that I would find a role in Samos. I went to the casting with a black hat. I didn’t know that I would do an asti without speaking Cretan” said the well-known actress and added:
“Our feud ended soon. It was a bit of revenge and the families descendants soon ended it. On my grandfather’s side it was by accident. My mom lived through difficult things that marked her!”.
Nektaria Giannoudaki: The role of Archontoula in “Psychokores”
Afterwards, Nektaria Giannoudakis mentioned the role of Archontoula in the series “Psychocores”, shown on ANT1. “A story untold, not to say… twisted. In the black and white films, we saw the maids happy, sexy, saying it to their bosses. Nothing to do with reality! Abuse, sexual harassment, violence. Penny Phylaktaki and Vangelis Nassis are based on true events” he said of the series.
“There will be many upheavals. We didn’t believe it until the last episode we read. Archontoula is in Kotrotsides, two very special bosses whose psyches are capricious. She seems unafraid, a big secret binds her to Nella. Knowing how violent her bosses can be, she becomes a bully. In order to prevent and protect I will be strict because cruelty has no return. As time goes by, I bond with Psychogirls. I’m more protective than strict. Archontoula understands about the rapes that take place at home. She has had a very hard time, her family has treated her hard, but she did not rush” Nektaria Giannoudaki said about Archontoula.
