Cristopher James Barousse towards Javier Corral whom he accused of allegedly torturing him and for abuse of power in his management as governor of Chihuahua.
Javier Corral Jurado -who is part of the candidate’s campaign team Claudia Sheinbaum– attended the forum ‘Challenges in the Fight against Corruption‘ in the state of Sonora.
Also attending this conference was Cristopher James Barousse, former youth leader of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and who was acquitted of this 2024 for the alleged crime of diversion of resources.

James Barousse confronted Corral, whom he pointed out in front of all those attending the forum for allegedly imprisoning him, torturing him and for abuse of power during his term as governor in Chihuahua.
“You persecuted me, you pointed at me, you imprisoned me, you tortured me and I was acquitted,” the former official said to the former PAN governor in front of the entire public.
“When I found out, working here, in the state of Sonora, here in Cajeme, What were you coming for, I said, I think it is a good opportunity to come and say to your face that unfortunately you did not apply everything you are saying,” added Cristopher James Barousse.
James reproached the former governor for not recovering money in Criminal matters as he stated, well he said yes and they were 280 million pesos.
“Zero pesos, none of the trials you put us in jail, you won; Unfortunately, and I want to tell you to your face, I am not afraid, and I am not going to allow you to continue lying and I am not going to allow you to continue torturing me. “You tortured me,” he added.
The attendees began to say “get out!” repeatedly and the clip was cut.

Discussion escalates to social networks
After this, James Barousse’s accusations against Corral escalated further and in the social networks when the former state president stated that he was an envoy of Manlio Fabio Beltrones.
“Manlio Fabio Beltrones sent us one of his gang members to Cajeme, who like him, received money from the secret payroll of Cesar Duarteand even used his mother to pick him up from the basement of the Secretary of Finance from Chihuahua”.
James Barousse would not be left behind so he indicated that no one sent him and called Javier Corral of being a “torturer, corrupt and liar” and of only being “seeking immunity to protect yourself from the accusations and crimes you committed.”
Finally he reminded him of the murder of the journalist Miroslava Breach (occurred on 23 of March of 2017 in the capital of Chihuahua) and concluded by saying that he will attend every forum in which Corral Jurado appears.

Cristopher James Barousse accused of alleged diversion of resources
Barousse was accused of allegedly receiving 2.6 million of pesos from the government of Chihuahua during the administration of Governor César Duarte (2010-2016) and the authorities arrested him and imprisoned him in the Aquiles Serdán prison during the mandate of Javier Corral. This year he was acquitted of said crime.
