For his part, Mr. Yanja noted that Mr. Kanczynski’s visit was an opportunity to discuss the development model of the southern provinces and its undeniable impacts on the populations of southern Morocco, highlighting the different economic sectors and investment opportunities offered by the region.

Mr. Yanja also highlighted the promising prospects of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region after the construction of the port of Dakhla Atlantique, highlighting the international initiative of HM King Mohammed VI to promote access for the countries of Sahel to the Atlantic Ocean, unlock the region’s enormous potential and accelerate the growth and sustainable and inclusive development of the region’s economies.

For her part, the president of the Regional Human Rights Commission (CRDH) of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Maimouna Essayed indicated that Mr. Kanczynski’s visit was an opportunity to review the various missions of the Commission, in particular those relating to the monitoring and control of the human rights situation at the regional level.

Ms. Essayed also highlighted the efforts of the CRDH in the area of ​​promoting human rights and monitoring public policies in cooperation with partner institutions and civil society associations in the region.

Furthermore, the British MP visited the Regional Investment Center (CRI), where he followed a presentation presented by the director of the Center, Mounir Houari, on the mega projects carried out or in progress as well as on the various opportunities investment in several productive sectors.
