In 2023, trade turnover between Hungary and Azerbaijan reached a record (about 200 million US dollars).

As Day.Az reported on Thursday with reference to Trend, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said this during a meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission in Baku.

According to him, the potential for cooperation between the two states is very high in different sectors.

Szijjártó recalled that in 2023, Hungary received “molecules” of Azerbaijani gas and is considering the importance of such an opportunity in the future.

Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, Sahil Babayev, emphasized that in two months of 2024, trade turnover increased by 40 percent and there is growth dynamics.

It should be noted that the 10th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary is being held in Baku.

Let us recall that on February 17 last year, the 9th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary was held in the capital of Hungary, Budapest.
