Last February, the participants and professionals visited the FROME de Coplaca farm in the municipality of Güímar, an extension of organic production of avocados and tropical fruits where techniques that reduce the environmental impact of agricultural activity. During the tour, the workers explained to the attendees how they introduce native flora species to increase the biodiversity of birds and pollinating insects, the alternatives that exist to the use of chemical substances, the systems to reduce water consumption, etc. In this way, they learned first-hand about the cultivation method, the process of collecting and packaging the products, in addition to the ecological corridor that they have created with the purpose of uniting natural areas and preserving the life, migration and interrelation of wild animals. .
