The grand opening of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan took place at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, Day.Az reports with reference to Trend.

The event was attended by government and public figures, representatives of culture and science, creative intellectuals and youth, heads of diplomatic missions and foreign guests.

In the foyer of the Heydar Aliyev Center, music was played by an ensemble of Kyrgyz folk instruments, guests were presented with a defile of national costumes by fashion designer Dilbar Ashimbayeva, national cuisine, an exhibition of paintings, historical exhibits, and a tent with works by masters of folk applied art was opened.

Speaking at the opening, the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli and the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Altynbek Maksutov emphasized the importance of holding these events from April 23 to 26 in further strengthening the fraternal relations of the countries and fruitful activities in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

It was noted that the Days of Culture are an important event from the point of view of popularizing the rich cultural heritage of the friendly and fraternal Kyrgyz people in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz relations are deepening every year both within the framework of international organizations and in the context of bilateral relations. Thanks to the political will and joint efforts of the heads of the two states, both political, economic and cultural ties are dynamically developing between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. Mutual trips of artists, creative groups, as well as joint cultural projects are carried out.

The festive concert program featured folk and modern songs, literary and theatrical numbers performed by musical and choreographic groups, vocalists and readers, masters of the arts of Kyrgyzstan, and also presented the compositions “Azerbaijan” and “Kyrgyzstan”, which were met with applause from the audience.

It should be noted that the busy program of events also includes the Cinema Days of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan, an exhibition of works by masters of decorative, applied and fine arts of the country, a display of a collection of clothing and samples of national cuisine, meetings of representatives of the intelligentsia of the two states, Turkic historians, writers, poets, gala- Closing concert of the Days of Culture.
