Of all the fuels, only the mass A-95, diesel and gas are up with the quotations from the beginning of March

The price of mass gasoline A95 started to creep up again and only in the last 2-3 days it rose by 1 cent, and for the last month – by 6 cents per liter. The curious thing is that this applies only to mass gasoline, and unlike other times, now diesel, gas and methane do not increase in price in parallel with A-95.

On March 29, a liter of A-95 gasoline cost an average of BGN 2.67, while

on sunday already was BGN 2.73

Only in some of the large gas station chains, the price is slightly higher than average and reaches BGN 2.76 or even BGN 2.78 per liter. At the small sites of independent market players, fuel can be bought for even BGN 2.60 per liter.

The average price of diesel fuel is BGN 2.76 per liter and, unlike gasoline, not only has it not increased in price compared to a month earlier, but

it even is cheaper by 3 cents.

At the beginning of the year, however, it cost 10 cents per liter cheaper.

Propane-butane, which is derived from oil and usually follows gasoline prices, has hardly moved since the beginning of the year – in January it cost BGN 1.25, and currently – BGN 1.24 per liter.

Methane, whose prices follow those of natural gas, is also cheaper compared to the beginning of the year.

The current increase in gasoline prices began at the beginning of the year and is related to the conflict in the Middle East. Since its inception, oil prices have skyrocketed and

often were approaching 90 dollars per barrel

Two weeks ago, its price even exceeded $90 for the first time in 6 months, and this is the most likely main reason for the current surge in the price of gasoline.

However, according to experts, the upcoming holidays around Easter and St. George’s Day will not contribute anything to a new increase in fuel prices at our gas stations.

“If something doesn’t really happen around the Red Sea, I mean something more terrible, I think that’s how it will be in the next few months,” said Dimitar Hadjidimitrov from the Association of Bulgarian Fuel Traders on Nova TV.

In the short term, slight fluctuations in column values are possible. Hadjidimitrov suggested that maybe it will be 2-3 cents up or 2-3 cents down.
