Solomon Chertorivsky, candidate for the head of government Citizen movementconsidered this Saturday an absolute setback for education that Mexico leaves the test PISA.

In the Mayor Venustiano CarranzaChertorivski expressed his commitment to the well-being of children, emphasizing that “for the good of all, girls and boys first.”

“If we want a better city and a better country, we must prioritize its development,” said the candidate of the orange party, within the framework of the festivities of the Children’s and Girls’ Daya.

He stressed the importance of evaluation as a fundamental tool to improve education, arguing that “if we do not measure education, it is impossible to improve it.”

He highlighted the need to internally evaluate the Mexican educational system and participate in international evaluations to compare the country’s performance with that of other nations.

The candidate emphasized the importance of adequately preparing Mexico’s future generations to compete in the global arena. He criticized the 4T’s stance, pointing out that considering the exit from international assessments as a solution is a shame, encouraging instead an approach of continuous improvement and accountability.

In line with his educational platform, Chertorivski proposed that Mexico City assume responsibility for primary and secondary education, becoming the only entity in the country to do so.

Furthermore, he presented the Mexico City School Modelwhich includes the provision of nutritious meals in all schools, digital tools for students and teachers, extended hours for sports and cultural activities, and the inclusion of subjects that teach life skills in the curriculum.

Chertorivski was at an event with boys and girls, in the Plaza Cívica del Carmen, in Venustiano Carranza, where he even joined a wrestling exhibition with Alejandro Piña, leader of Movimiento Ciudadano in CDMX, and Zuri Hernández, candidate for the Mayor’s Office of Venustiano Carranza.
