According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), the murdered perpetrator arrived at the hotel after having arranged an alleged meeting with two girls, ages 7 and 11.
However, he turned out to be met by two police officers belonging to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
With information from local media, a witness described that he could see “someone running and another firing his firearm.”

The video of the officers shows that they responded to the threat posed by the suspect, who was supposedly aiming at them.
