Kannur Akshay’s father pleads not guilty in Kannur bomb attack case: Father Prasanna pleads not guilty The father told the media that his son had no criminal background and did not know how Akshay was accused.
“Akshay was present at the wedding. He was caught wearing a blue shirt on CCTV. He will not do that. My son is 100 per cent innocent in the incident. Akshay is not a person with a criminal background,” the father told the media.

Prasanna added that they had not received any information about the arrest and that the police had said that his son had confessed and could not believe it.
Meanwhile, the police have intensified their search for Mithun, who was directly involved in the incident. Apart from them, 3 others are in police custody. Saneesh, Jijin and Rijul have been taken into custody.

The blast shook the country on February 13 at noon yesterday. The bomber struck as Jishnu and his friends were on their way to a wedding home in Thottada. The bomb fell on Jishnu’s head. Three people were injured in the incident. Hemant, Anurag and Rajilesh from Echoor were injured.
The cause of the conflict was a dispute at the wedding home on Saturday, February 12th. Police said there was a clash between the two groups in connection with the wedding celebration and that there was no political connection in the murder.

The initial conclusion of the police is that the problem between the gang from Echoor and the locals was the reason for the murder. Police have registered a case under the sections of murder, handling of explosives and unlawful association. The FIR is based on the statement of the neighbor.
