The collision between two military helicopters that were carrying out a training flyby caused the death of 10 personas who were on board them, this happened this Tuesday, April 23 and was confirmed by the Navy of Malaysia.
According to reports shared by authorities, both helicopters were doing exercises in the facilities of a naval base located in the state of Perak, north of Malaysia, in celebration of the navy’s 90th anniversary next May.
In a brief statement, the navy reported on the incident, while indicating that the remains of the victims were sent to a hospital in the area so that relatives could come to identify them.
Until now, the navy has reserved to provide more details about the accident and did not share the information of the crew of both aircraft, however, it is mentioned that the ages of the deceased would be between 26 and 41 years.
The incident was registered in recordings that have been shared on social networks. In these you can see the two aircraft flying in formation, until one of them turns sharply and collides with the rotor of the other helicopter, causing both to plummet.
