Pramatta Padmanadi is waterless during the dry season. Garai river, the main branch of Padma flowing through Kushtia city, has become a dead canal. On the other hand, tubewells in Kushtia district and its surrounding areas have become damaged due to the low water level due to the dry season. Water does not rise even in deep wells. Even in any water motor in the city, water does not rise. Thousands of tubewells have become useless due to lack of water. People’s lives are in dire straits in intense heat.
