The Fraternal Rally for the Development of Lékié (Rafdel), in its humanitarian tour of the nine districts of the Lékié department, Central Cameroon region, made a stopover on Saturday April 27, 2024, in Obala.

After Sa’a in July, Evodoula in September, Okala in December 2023, and Elig-Mfomo on March 2, 2024, today comes the district of Obala. This 5th stop by the Rafdel was marked by the delivery of numerous donations to health facilities, schools and secondary education establishments. Presents estimated at more than six million CFA francs.

Founding President of Rafdel and head of the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of Ngaoundéré in Adamaoua, Dr. Joseph DZENE EDZEGUE, specifies that these donations << sont issus de toutes les classes sociales auxquelles appartiennent les fils de la Lékié: cultivateurs, commençants, fonctionnaires, hommes en tenue, membres du gouvernement. Nous appelons au rassemblement des enfants d’une même communauté pour pouvoir être en phase avec l’appel lancé par le chef de l’Etat : l’appui communautaire pour le développement, afin d’atteindre la SND 30 >>.

The donations offered included, among other things, 50 tables and benches, 20 of which were delivered, and the other 30 still in production. They will be distributed in equal numbers in five public schools (EP), namely: EP Group 3 of Obala, EP Ezzezang Medoum, EP Minkama, EP Edinding and EP Nkolpep. A dozen complete computers with printers were also handed over. The beneficiaries of this lot are: the minor seminary of Efok, the Jean 23 college, the technical high school of Obala and the technical high school of Nkometou.

The health pavilion has not been forgotten. Rafdel equipped the Obala district hospital with 100 pairs of optical glasses after medical consultations, 03 microscopes, stethoscopes, a centrifuge. Regarding public lighting, Rafdel offered 10 solar street lights. The hospital training funeral home has also been refurbished with new reception benches provided for users.

A laudable initiative congratulated by the mayor of the commune of Obala, Simon Pierre Ediba.
