The official press has recognized in a small article the high prices at the Plaza del Gallo pizzeria in the city of Camagüey.
This action makes it clear that not even the Castro press can support the lies that the regime wants to make people believe about a “dignified and stable life” that does not exist in Cuba.
In this sense, the newspaper Adelante was able to create an article (although small and in a corner of the pages that no one reads), lamenting the “outrageous prices” at the pizzeria.
Furthermore, they recognize that the criticism about the prices in this restaurant arises from the same Cubans who have complained about not having access to those unpayable amounts for which they intend to sell food in that place.
The Cuban influencer, Alexander Otaola, had also made the complaint about this issue on his program Hola! Ota-Ola, in addition to Cubanos por el Mundo, followed by other independent media.
On that occasion it had been known that the Camagüey pizzeria offered a pizza with cheese for 600 Cuban pesos, while some spaghetti can cost up to a thousand pesos.
“This pizzeria, in the 19 years that I lived in Camagüey, they opened this pizzeria three times, well they just reopened it, the Gallo pizzeria, that’s what it’s known as,” said the Cuban influencer.
The influencer compared the reality of the island, full of misery, with other countries in which eating a pizza is accessible because it is “the cheapest food in the world.”
The newspaper article claims that the pizzeria has made adjustments and reductions, after the avalanche of criticism they have received, but these continue to be insufficient and unattainable.
