Elton and ProSieben – that’s a thing of the past. Or not? On Tuesday evening the presenter suddenly appeared on the station again.
For Joko and Klaas, the show against their own station on Tuesday evening did not end well. In the “El Final No Comprendo” of “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben” the duo had to successfully complete five tasks. The difficulty: A replacement moderator for Steven Gätjen explained the challenges in Spanish. For example, Joko and Klaas had to guess songs from a mariachi band or solve a math problem. The linguistically demanding final was the moderators’ downfall: they lost.

This also includes Elton, who trained as a radio and television technician and later made history as a “perpetual show intern” at ProSieben. Until finally, a few weeks ago, the surprising news was announced that the collaboration between him and his long-standing home station was ending. Suddenly Elton disappeared from the ProSieben universe: without a farewell, without a final appearance.
The station’s handling of its moderation veteran caused a lot of fuss. It was all the more surprising that Elton appeared again on ProSieben on Tuesday evening. Joko and Klaas brought him back one last time. On their show, Elton flickered across the screens for a few seconds to explain a game.
This was also immediately noticed by some viewers who shared screenshots of the scene on social media. “Seriously? I call that unfortunate,” said one comment, for example. But ProSieben or Joko and Klaas didn’t actually hire Elton after he was kicked out of the station, it was just a recorded video clip.
Although ProSieben is broadcasting new episodes of “Joko & Klaas versus ProSieben”, these were recorded weeks ago. At that point, no one thought that Elton would soon be out – and so, a few weeks later, there was a moment between Elton and ProSieben that was irritating for viewers.
