(Web Desk) The United States has supported Pakistan’s efforts to combat terrorism and said that both countries have common security interests.
According to details, Deputy Spokesman of the US Department of State, Vedant Patel, said in a press briefing in Washington that the US and Pakistan have common security interests, dealing with threats to regional security is in the interest of both countries, supporting Pakistan’s efforts to combat terrorism and cooperation with Pakistan against terrorism will continue.
The spokesman said that we have a partnership with Pakistan on matters of national security and this partnership includes funding counter-terrorism capabilities, supporting measures taken to promote the protection of human rights and supporting such measures. Doing so will promote the rule of law.
He further said that talks between the US and Pakistan on counter-terrorism and high-level military-to-military cooperation with the Pakistani army are ongoing.
Commenting on the visit of American diplomat John Bice to Pakistan, Vedant Patel said that the Acting Under Secretary is on a visit to Doha and Islamabad. John Bice is discussing common interests in Islamabad. And will discuss bilateral issues.

On this occasion, the news in the Washington Post, which claims that the Indian National Security Advisor, including the head of the RAW, was aware of the assassination attack on the Sikh leader and whether the US has any concerns in this regard, to which the Deputy Spokesman responded. He said that he expects accountability from the Indian government based on the results of the Indian inquiry and is having regular discussions with India in this regard.
The US State Department said it is seeking additional information from the Indian government, while the US will continue to raise its concerns directly with the Indian government at the highest level.
