Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and the Emir of Kuwait, Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, stressed the necessity of reaching an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, while expressing their rejection of the Zionist entity’s continuation of its military operations.

A joint Egyptian-Kuwaiti statement issued after Sisi’s talks with Al-Sabah said: “The two sides agreed on the necessity of reaching an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and facilitating safe, adequate and sustainable access for humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the occupied territory and implementing the relevant Security Council resolutions, the latest of which is Resolution No. 2720, including This includes establishing a UN mechanism inside the Gaza Strip to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.”
He continued, “It was confirmed that they rejected the Zionist entity’s continuation of its military operations, including the possibility of them extending to the Palestinian city of Rafah,” noting that they “warned of the dire humanitarian consequences that would result from such a step.”
They stressed, “the danger of Zionist practices that would expand the conflict and threaten the security and stability of the region and international security and peace.”
Al-Sisi and Al-Sabah expressed their “categorical rejection and condemnation of all attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue, the Zionist violations of international law and international humanitarian law, and all attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.”
They stressed, “adhering to the right of return for Palestinian refugees and General Assembly Resolution No. 194,” stressing, “the importance of the vital role of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA), rejecting the deliberate targeting of the agency, and the importance of supporting its budget.”
