Palakkad : Forest department registers case against youth Babu A case has been registered against the students who climbed the hill with Babu.

A case has been registered under the Kerala Forest Act (27) for trespassing in the forest area. Earlier, when the forest department tried to register a case, Minister AK Sasindran intervened and stopped it.

The day before, three persons had entered the top of Cherad hill without permission. Three people were arrested during a search by forest officials following the sighting of the flashlight.

Babu, who was trapped in a rock on February 7, was rescued 45 hours later by the army. Two jawans from the rescue team tied Babu to his side and tied him to the top of the hill. The young man, who had not received water for 45 hours, was first taken to the top of the hill by the army after being given water, food and first aid.

On February 7, Babu and his two children went to the top of the hill. On the way back down, Babu slipped and fell on a rock. Babu first informed the fire brigade and others by phone.
