/ Today, Thursday, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei threatened Israel to regret its bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus, in a tweet he published in Hebrew.

Khamenei wrote on his account on the (X) platform a tweet in Hebrew, saying that Israel “will regret, God willing, the crime of attacking the Iranian consulate in Damascus.”

In another tweet, the Iranian Supreme Leader said that Israel “will receive a slap” for targeting the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital, stressing that Iran will respond to the strike.

The day before yesterday, Tuesday, Khamenei vowed to “punish” Israel for targeting the Iranian embassy in Damascus, and stressed that “the Zionists will be punished by our men,” as he described it.

In the wake of the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Iranian officials promised Israel a firm response to the strike, which they described as a “crime,” stressing that they adhere to their right to respond at the appropriate time and place, as they put it.

Yesterday, Wednesday, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, Ismail Kothari, said that there are many elements in the resistance front that will respond to the Israeli strike, adding that if necessary, they will respond themselves.

In Israel, media outlets reported that Tel Aviv was preparing security-wise for an Iranian response to the strike that targeted the consulate in Damascus, expecting that Tehran had informed Hezbollah of the response to the strike, according to their claim.

The targeting of the Iranian consulate building in Damascus last Monday led to the killing of about 13 people, including two Iranian officers and five military advisors in the Revolutionary Guard.
