MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘We, Home’ (written by Nam Ji-yeon / directed by Lee Dong-hyeon and Wi Deuk-gyu), which will be aired for the first time on May 24th, is about Noh Young-won (played by Kim Hee-sun), a self-proclaimed best family psychologist in Korea, who threatens an unknown blackmailer with a threat to her career. It is a human black comedy that tells the story of a woman trying to protect her family by collaborating with her mother-in-law (Lee Hye-young), a mystery novel writer, when her family is threatened.
In the 38-second first teaser for ‘We, Home’ released, the explosive passionate performances of actors such as Kim Hee-sun, Lee Hye-young, Kim Nam-hee and Yeon-woo, and the unique deadly atmosphere of ‘We, Home’, based on background music that stimulates the five senses, left a strong impression.
First, with majestic music playing, the contrasting appearances of Hong Sa-gang (played by Lee Hye-young), who shouts “Toast” as if holding a wine glass and toasting at someone’s grave, and Noh Young-won, whose eyes are shaking in confusion, attract attention. captivates.
Then, a mysterious voice rings out, “Do you know everything? About your family.” Also, Choi Jae-jin (played by Kim Nam-hee) praying with all her heart, a suspicious text message asking “Do Dr. Noh Young-won know everything about your husband?”, Noh Young-won opening a safe, Noh Young-won’s family photo, a finger turning on a lighter, and putting on glasses. Scenes of falling blood and a car pulled up from the sea appear one after another, adding to the sense of anxiety.
At the same time, Choi Jae-jin, smiling brightly and hugging Noh Young-won, and Noh Young-won’s serious expression sitting in the counseling room over Noh Young-won’s words, “We must know each other, but are we family?” amplify curiosity. What follows is an extreme contrast between Hong Sa-gang, who performs a bizarre dance, and Choi Jae-jin, trembling with fear as he washes away her blood while wearing surgical gowns, shocking her.
Here, the determined Noh Young-won desperately searching for something, the eerie Hongsa River as he gently opens his eyes on the bed, the mysterious numbers engraved one by one in Noh Young-won’s family photos, and even Noh Young-won’s family photos being burned, all pass by at a rapid pace.
Lastly, Hong Sa-gang’s cold eyes shine as he says, “Don’t you know yet? We’ve fallen into a trap,” Lee Se-na (played by Yeon-woo) casts an empty gaze into the sky, and Noh Young-won’s low voice saying “a bright red lie” as he wanders through the snowy mountains resonates strongly. As you embrace it, it raises expectations for an unpredictable narrative.
The production team said, “Through the first teaser, we wanted to show a glimpse of the unique and unique human black comedy mood of ‘We, Home’ that has never been felt before,” and added, “The acting chemistry and tension of solid actors such as Kim Hee-sun, Lee Hye-young, Kim Nam-hee, and Yeon-woo.” “Please look forward to ‘Us, Home,’ which will be the perfect combination of overflowing narrative and sensuous directing.”
‘We, Home’ will be broadcast for the first time on May 24th at 9:50 PM.
