Adjacent to the Great Hall of the League of Arab States, this Salon, whose inauguration coincides with the holding of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers under the presidency of Morocco, reflects the finesse of Moroccan architecture as well as the richness and diversity of the culture of the Kingdom.

In a statement to MAP, the deputy secretary general of the Arab League, in charge of the media and communication department, Ahmed Rachid Khattabi, indicated that this Fair is full of artistic aspects in the ancestral Moroccan style, adding that with its renovation, the Salon is now more sumptuous in terms of color scheme, decor and artistic paintings, which further reflects Morocco’s contribution and commitment to supporting the Arab League.

He also expressed his joy at welcoming many guests to this Salon, proof of the intrinsic civilizational dimension of Morocco.

For his part, Mr. Khattabi stressed that the Salon is a consecration of the Moroccan presence within the Arab League, given that the Kingdom is an active and important actor in the Arab system, noting that it also reflects the diversity and the richness of Moroccan heritage.

The aesthetics of the paintings and decorative motifs represent a Moroccan imprint par excellence and a civilizational and cultural touch with political depth, he said.

He further noted that the inauguration of this Fair constitutes a consecration of the role that Morocco plays within the Arab League and its commitment to Arab issues, in particular the Palestinian question, thanks to the fundamental and major role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, welcoming Morocco’s attachment to its constants in foreign policy and its support for the Arab regional system.
