Thus, the governor of the province of Midelt, Mustapha Ennouhi, chaired, in the rural commune of Bou Azmou, the launch of work to strengthen and widen the national road N 12 linking Bou Azmou to the town of Imilchil, nestled in the heart of the eastern High Atlas mountains.
Funded by the Ministry of Equipment and Water, the Ministry of the Interior and the Council of the Drâa-Tafilalet region for a budget of 53.8 million dirhams, this project aims to modernize the road network of the province and to accelerate the socio-economic and tourism development of the region.
In the rural commune of Outerbat, the governor and the delegation accompanying him kicked off construction work on the unclassified road linking Douar Ait Omar to Douar Taouriret over a length of 17 km.
Funded by the Council of the Drâa-Tafilalet region for a budget of 30.5 million dirhams, this project is part of the Program for Reducing Territorial and Social Disparities (PRDTS) in rural areas and aims in particular to improve access of targeted populations to basic services.
Likewise, Mr. Ennouhi launched the redevelopment work of the Imilchil and Bouzmou centers, as part of a 9 million dirhams project. Funded by the Ministry of Equipment and Water, the Ministry of the Interior and the Council of the Drâa-Tafilalet region, this project aims to improve and modernize infrastructure at the level of the province of Midelt.
Furthermore, the governor handed over an ambulance for the benefit of the association responsible for the management of Dar Al Oumouma (Maternity House) in the commune of Amouguer, and to the socio-complex sports center of Imilchil, wheelchairs for the benefit of people with specific needs.
In a statement to MAP, Bilal Chaklal, provincial director of Equipment and Water in Midelt, stressed that these projects support and reinforce the dynamic of socio-economic development experienced by the province of Midelt.
“These projects, launched on the occasion of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto, will have a great impact on the living conditions of the population and will contribute to accelerating the development process and reducing disparities territorial and social”, he added.
