With music and games, they celebrate Children’s Day in the Zócalo of CDMX

More than 40 cultural activities and free recreational facilities, the capital’s Government, through the Local Culture Secretariatcelebrated andl Children’s Day in it Plinth From Mexico City.

By leading the celebrations on April 30, the head of Government Martí Batres Guadarrama congratulated the children of the capital while inviting them to participate in recreational activities such as reading days, contests with traditional games, kite making, painting of faces, among others.

“In reality, we have to celebrate girls and boys every day (…) we are calling for activities here today in the Zócalo, there are books, there are Mexican sweets, there are games and there is rock for girls and boys,” he commented.

During the celebrations in the Zócalo, the capital’s president highlighted the participation of the children’s music bands “Los Migajita Sound Band” and “Los Patita de Perro”, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Concerts, dancing, reading days, contests with traditional games and Mexican sweets were part of the celebration.

The Children’s Day celebrations were also attended by the Secretary of Culture, Claudia Curiel de Icaza; the general director of Great Festivals of Mexico City, Argel Gómez Concheiro; and the general director of Community Cultural Linkage, Ricardo Bautista García.
