jpnn.comJAKARTA – The National Awakening Party (PKB) withdrew the 2024 General Election Results Dispute (PHPU) lawsuit relating to the difference in vote acquisition for the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) to fill the DPR member candidates for Aceh Electoral District 1.
During the trial regarding this matter, the legal advisor from PKB Subani was hesitant about whether or not to withdraw the lawsuit.
Constitutional Justice Arief Hidayat, who presided over the trial, then emphasized that this wishy-washy attitude was not permitted in a trial that was open to the public.
“So, the last thing I need to reiterate is that the attorney for Case 62-01-01-01/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 has withdrawn it. “So, the respondent and related parties will respond later,” said Arief as chairman of panel three at the 2024 PHPU legislative election case hearing at Building I of the Indonesian Constitutional Court, Jakarta, Tuesday (30/4).
Initially, the legal advisor stated that the PBK legislative candidate for the Aceh 1 electoral district stated that he wanted to withdraw the lawsuit. However, the legislative candidate concerned has not provided a written statement regarding the withdrawal of the application.
Arief Hidayat then questioned the validity of the withdrawal of the application, whether it had been known or not by the General Chair of the PKB DPP Muhaimin Iskandar and the Secretary General of the PKB DPP Hasanuddin Wahid.
“This is what Pak Muhaimin and his Secretary General proposed. Did the General Chairman and Secretary General know that?” Arief said.
“That means not yet, I just WAd this earlier,” said Subani.
