The visit of a delegation of 30 people from the national club of international travelers of Norway “Vagaclub” to the city of Shusha has ended.
As Day.Az reported on Thursday with reference to Trend, the travelers visited the fortress walls of the city of Shusha.
Here they were told about the history of the city and the construction of the fortress walls.
It was noted that the fortress, built by the Karabakh Khan Panahali Khan, protected the city from external interference for a long time and was a symbol of inaccessibility.
The travelers were told that during the occupation the walls of the fortress were subjected to Armenian vandalism, and after the liberation of the city, repair and restoration work was carried out in the fortress.
The guests visited the house of Khurshidbanu Natavan in Shusha, the spring of the Khan’s daughter, the Ganja gate of the Shusha fortress and Jidir duzu.
This concluded the travelers’ visit to Shusha. They went to the city of Agdam.
It should be noted that today the visit of a delegation of foreign travelers to the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation began. As part of the trip, travelers will visit cities such as Fizuli, Shusha and Agdam. A delegation of 30 members of the national club of international travelers of Norway “Vagaclub” is headed by Jorn Ogestad. The delegation will visit Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur for 3 days, moving along the Fuzuli-Shusha-Agdam-Lachin-Jabrail route.
Let us recall that in the past four years there have been nine visits by the main travel networks – ETIC, MTP, TCC, NomadMania, as well as the Turkish Travel Club, British Piki Reels, Swedish Club 100 in Karabakh and East Zangezur.
The visit of the world famous Norwegian “Vagaclub” is considered the 10th visit of this kind.
In total, during these 10 trips, more than 360 international travelers from 46 countries had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the situation in the liberated territories. Through them, millions of people around the world received detailed information about the real situation in Karabakh.
