The Inter defender mentioned the former striker during the Scudetto party in Piazza Duomo: the reason
“He was wrong.” Almost out of nowhere, in the whirlwind of declarations and chants on the day of Inter’s great Scudetto celebration, Alessandro Bastoni ends up quoting Davide Moscardelli. To be more precise, he ends up mostly answering them. The Nerazzurri defender did it late in the evening, in Piazza Duomo, when a few minutes were dedicated to him from Terrazza 21, microphone in his mouth. “I only wanted to say one thing – Bastoni’s words -, perhaps Moscardelli was wrong. You are the most beautiful!”. Roar from the tens of thousands of fans who resisted until late in the evening under the fireworks.

Bastoni, always far from controversy, obviously did not invent the name of the iconic former striker who was very popular on social networks for his goals, his thick beard and his viral gags. Last 25 April Moscardelli had in fact stung the Nerazzurri people during a broadcast on TV Play by commenting with a joke on the celebrations in the rain on the post-derby Monday: “If you go and watch the video of when I won the Serie C championship with the Pisa – remembering the 2019 triumph in the playoffs – you will see that there were more people in the square.” More than a polemic, Bastoni’s seemed to be a pure observation: 300 thousand fans in Pisa probably weren’t there that year…
