The training plan for medical personnel in the city of Kufra in the field of vaccinations was launched in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Health in implementing the emergency plan to support the health sector in the city of Kufra, ensuring the protection of the people from any diseases that could be transmitted to them by displaced persons or immigrants.
The Ministry of Health in the Libyan government-designate published the details of the plan on its Facebook page, which came in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Health, Dr. Othman Abdel Jalil. The plan includes implementing a vaccination campaign for citizens and displaced people alike, during the reinforcement campaign scheduled for Sunday, May 5, 2024.
The plan targets about 60 doctors who supervise vaccinations at the Ahwej Rural Health Care Center in Kufra, under the supervision of a number of designated trainers. It includes age groups from one day up to 15 years of age, during which the targets receive vaccinations against polio, measles, vitamin A, and rubella, according to the age group.
