Kawhi Leonard will miss Game 5 of his LA Clippers‘ playoff series against Dallas in the first round of the NBA’s Western Conference because of right knee inflammation.
The six-time All-Star, nicknamed “The Paw,” will miss the third time in the five games of the 2-2 series.
Leonard missed Game 1 and Game 4 and also sat out the Clippers’ final eight regular-season games because of right knee soreness. The basketball player returned to action in the second and third games of the series against Dallas, but managed to score only 24 points in the two games and did not look good in general.
Kawhi Leonard averaged 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 68 games this season while playing in 68 games, his most since the 2016/2017 season with San Antonio.
Injuries repeatedly plagued Leonard in the second half of his NBA career. The American missed the entire 2021/2022 season after injuring his right knee during the 2021 playoffs and requiring major surgery.
