A couple arrested in Miami accused of trafficking people from Cuba to force them into prostitution in the United States.
In that sense, the Miami police indicated that the arrested people respond to the names of Luis Ariel Escalante and Vicenta Polanco, who are accused of charges related to human trafficking and prostitution.
Police records indicate that this couple, arrested in Miami, seized the Cuban passports and legal documents of people who were taken to the United States from the communist island.
The authorities obtained information about this case thanks to the fact that two victims approached the police to report Escalante and Polanco, stating that they had their identity documents and were being forced into prostitution.

Likewise, the victims indicated that this couple had visited them in Cuba and offered to pay a coyote to enter the United States through the United States border with Mexico. In addition, they were promised that in the lands of freedom they would work as erotic dancers in a nightclub for adults.
However, when they arrived in the United States, the victims had to hand over their passports to the couple, who promised to keep the documents “safe” and that they would help these people brought from Cuba with a lawyer for their immigration process.
Later, they indicated that they were deceived, since the couple told them that they would work as prostitutes through advertisements that they would publish on websites dedicated to this type of search and not as erotic dancers.
One of the victims said suggestive photos were taken of her for advertisements and she was told she was expected to work four to five dates seven days a week. She also said that she kept appointments at an apartment that the defendants gave her to stay at.
