/ The Spanish Football Federation dismissed several managers linked to corruption investigations, according to what it announced late Thursday/Friday night.

“Disciplinary procedures have been opened against the sacked duo, the Director of Legal Services, Pedro Gonzalez Segura, and the Director of Human Resources, Jose Javier Jiménez,” the federation wrote in a statement.

Segura and Jimenez were arrested last Wednesday, following a police raid on the headquarters of the Spanish Federation, as part of an investigation into allegations of corruption and various crimes.

The Spanish Federation added that it had terminated a contract with JC Legal, the law firm affiliated with Tomas Gonzalez Cueto, who was also arrested as part of a Spanish court investigation into allegations of corruption, fraudulent management and money laundering.

The police searched the headquarters of the Spanish Federation, along with the property of its former president, Luis Rubiales, in Granada, who is currently in the Dominican Republic, but is scheduled to return to Spain during the next month.
