The Reds are competing for the Premier League title, but they have received more than one blow in recent matches, which has kept them out of the race, as they are 5 points behind the leaders, Arsenal.
As for Tottenham, they are in fifth place, 15 points behind, with 4 matches remaining, which means it is impossible to reach third place by the end of the season.
After Liverpool secured qualification to the Champions League along with Arsenal and Manchester City, the remaining ticket will be limited to Aston Villa and Tottenham.
Aston Villa has 67 points in fourth place, ahead of Spurs by 7 points, with the latter playing one less match.
