DIG/ The government has decided to put pressure on companies that do not present a clear Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.

It’s about the voluntary integration by companies of social and environmental concerns into their commercial activities and their relations with populations.

This policy allows companies to contribute to the development of the localities where they are established.

In the industrial sector, for example, the government wants to create an environment conducive to the emergence of a responsible Gabonese industry contributing to the well-being of the population while ensuring the preservation of the environment.

It is precisely to encourage manufacturers to make their commitments that the Minister of Industry, François Mbongo Rafemo Bourdette, recently organized a meeting in Libreville with economic operators in his sector.

“As Minister of Industry, I am aware of the challenges our country faces in terms of corporate social responsibilities”, he pointed out.

The government member instructs investors to develop CSR roadmaps that take into account the concerns of all stakeholders.

For him, theCSR must be a reality in all industrial sectors. His ministry will ensure, he promised, in the coming days, the composition of a Management and Coordination Committee for industrial CSR.
