From the Plaza Cívica Quirino Mendoza Cortés, in Santiago Tulyehualco, Xochimilco, Solomon Chertorivskycandidate for the Head of Government of Movimiento Ciudadano, reaffirmed his commitment to raising the minimum wage to 10 thousand pesos per month as a key goal to improve living conditions in Mexico City.

In a speech on the occasion of Labor DayChertorivski recalled that 10 years ago the fight to increase the minimum wage began, a battle that began in the capital and that today seeks to take to a new level.

“We are going for 10 thousand pesos a month, that has to be our mission and we are going to achieve it,” he stated with determination.

Accompanied by the candidate for the Senate of the Republic, Alejandra Barrales, and the candidate for the Mayor of Xochimilco, Adrián Chávez, Chertorivski also addressed the worrying situation of insecurity that affects Tulyehualco and the entire Xochimilco delegation.

In addition to the issue of the minimum wage, the candidate highlighted the urgent need to improve transportation infrastructure in the south of Mexico City.

He pointed out that many people spend up to three hours to get to the center of the capital and proposed the extension of metro line 2 to Xochimilco and Milpa Alta, instead of ending in Tasqueña.

Chertorivski called for confidence in an alternative for change to transform Mexico City, Xochimilco and Tulyehualco.

“We have to believe it and go out this June 2 to vote for the Citizen Movement,” he emphasized, urging citizens to actively participate in the elections to build a better future for everyone.
