The visit of Norwegian travelers to Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur continues.
As Day.Az reported on Saturday with reference to Trend, an expanded group of the national club of international travelers of Norway “Vagaclub” of 30 people today took a closer look at the Khudaferin Bridge.
Travelers witnessed the destruction caused by the Armenian army during the occupation.
It was noted that due to their connection with historical events of world significance, organic unity with the beautiful landscape, high architectural and engineering solutions and other features, the Khudaferin bridges are monuments of Azerbaijani architecture of universal value.
Historically, one of the bridges on the Silk Road has 15 spans, while the other has 11. The bridges, which are relics of the 12th-13th centuries, testify to the development of high craftsmanship in Azerbaijan during the Middle Ages.
It was brought to the attention of foreign travelers that during the years of occupation these places, like other territories, were destroyed, houses were plundered, and nature was destroyed. Here, the Armenians also desecrated many historical religious monuments, mosques were used as animal stables, and graves were excavated and destroyed.
It was emphasized that after liberation from occupation, life in Eastern Zangezur began to revive, and important projects were being implemented by Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that on May 2, the visit of a delegation of foreign travelers to the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation began. A delegation of 30 representatives of the national club of international travelers of Norway “Vagaclub” is headed by Jorn Ogestad. The delegation will visit Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur for 3 days, moving along the Fuzuli-Shusha-Agdam-Lachin-Jabrail route.
Let us recall that before this, over the past four years, nine visits were made to Karabakh and East Zangezur by representatives of the main travel networks – ETIC, MTP, TCC, NomadMania, as well as the Turkish Travel Club, British Piki Reels, Swedish Club 100.
In total, during the trips, more than 360 international travelers from 46 countries had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the situation in the liberated territories. Through them, millions of people around the world received detailed information about the real situation in Karabakh.
