Iraqi decline in the list of countries importing from Türkiye

/ The Turkish Statistics Authority announced on Sunday that Iraq ranked fourth among the countries that import the most from Turkey last February, indicating an increase in Turkish exports by 13.6%, and a decrease in imports by 9.2%, respectively.

The Authority stated, in its report seen by Agency, that “Turkish exports increased compared to the same period last year to reach 21 billion and 82 million dollars, and imports decreased to reach 27 billion 853 million dollars.”

She added, “Germany is the main partner for exports with one billion and 772 million dollars, followed by the United States of America second with one billion and 332 million dollars, then Italy third with one billion and 158 million dollars, followed by Iraq fourth with one billion and 72 million dollars, and Britain came fifth with one billion and 66 million dollars.” Million dollars”.

She stated, “Turkish exports to Iraq increased by 47.3% during the month of February, compared to $728 million in the same period last year.”

During the past months, Iraq ranked second and third on the list of countries that import most from Türkiye.

Iraq imports most of its goods, merchandise and foodstuffs from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, and to a lesser extent from the Arab Gulf countries and Jordan.
