Quito, March 2024.- Until 2022, the third source of happiness in Ecuador was having a job where there is the opportunity for professional growth, as stated by IPSOS in one of its studies. The corporate sector has been a key axis in this scenario, which is why, for more than 7 years, Seguros Equinoccial has introduced as an internal philosophy the international measurement “Happiness” that allows for the annual evaluation of climate and culture, placing it as one of the companies with the best average in the country.

Happiness uses an international platform supported by artificial intelligence to exhaustively analyze the results obtained, allowing us to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to strengthen the organizational culture.

Annually, the company evaluates two pillars to precisely identify highlights and areas for improvement in its organization. In the most recent cycle, they managed to obtain a happiness index of 8.9 and a strong level of commitment valued at 8.8, placing it as one of the companies with the best results, adding to this the two annual measurements of 2023 Employee Net Promote Score (ENPS ) evidencing significant progress from June to December, placing it above the global benchmark.

According to a study carried out by the Mexican consulting firm Crecimiento Sustentable, happy workers are 88% more productive, in addition, they maintain a positive vision to solve problems, reduce the risks of work accidents by up to 300%, improve adaptation to change, have up to 33% more energy and dynamism.

“The driving force for achieving these results is undoubtedly the collaborators, the commitment and effort they maintain in each of their daily activities have made us a benchmark in the sector, and an example in fostering an environment of opportunities and growth,” said María Sol Paladines, Senior Manager of Human Talent at Seguros Equinoccial.

According to the organization’s happiness and commitment data, specific departmental and transversal action plans will be developed to increase and exceed the objectives established for these indicators, which stood out favorably in comparison with national and international market standards.

“Seguros Equinoccial really shows the interest it has in its collaborators, we have felt part of all its activities and improvement actions, with the projects that contribute to our well-being, we feel safe, happy and committed to the development of the organization” he highlights.
