Japan, the United States and the Philippines intend to create a joint system to protect against cyber attacks in view of the growing threats from hackers. This was reported by the Nikkei newspaper, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.
An agreement to this effect should be reached during the upcoming trilateral summit in Washington next week. First of all, the three countries intend to strengthen measures to protect critical infrastructure from the influence of hackers. This also applies to servers of government agencies and defense departments.
To this end, Japan, the USA and the Philippines are intensifying contacts in this area. Now they are mainly conducted in a bilateral format between Tokyo and Washington, as well as between Washington and Manila.
A meeting between Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and US President Joe Biden is scheduled for April 10 in Washington. The parties plan to discuss strengthening both bilateral cooperation and interaction with partners in the Indo-Pacific region. On April 11, the leaders of Japan and the United States will hold a summit with the participation of Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
