TRENTO. As part of the usual territorial control services aimed at safeguarding public safety and preventing crimes in general, the financiers of the Trento Group have over 3.3 kg seized of cocaine, cash for over 88,000 euros and arrested 3 people.
During a control service on illicit trafficking, in the municipality of Trento, near the San Giuseppe neighborhooda Fiamme Gialle patrol noticed the presence of a thirty-year-old of Tunisian origin, already known for committing crimes involving drug dealing, who, visibly agitated, was walking along the bank of the Fersina stream. After observing his movements from a safe distance, the financiers noted that the same man, shortly thereafter, approached a parked car with another man on board, quickly passing him a bag.
The soldiers of the Fiamme Gialle therefore decided to intervene, but only managed to block the driver of the car, as the man on foot fled, losing their tracks. The police check confirmed the suspicions of the financiers, who ascertained that the plastic bag, object of the transfer, contained cash for a total of 58,000 euros. Sensing that they had interrupted a money/narcotics exchange, the military, making use of their noseThe drug-sniffing dog “Aron”proceeded to carefully check the stopped car, identifying a double bottom prepared in the cavity of the central front spar, where 3 blocks of cocaine weighing a total of 3.3 kg were found, together with a further 30,000 euros of counted money, divided into banknotes of various denominations.
The driver of the vehicle – a twenty-three year old of Albanian nationality living in the province of Milan – was therefore arrested. Thanks to a rapid investigative activity carried out in the following days, the financiers managed to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the facts and the consequent criminal responsibilities, following which the GIP of the Court of Trento, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office, issued a precautionary custody order against the thirty-year-old Tunisian who had fled.
The subsequent activities aimed at tracing the wanted man allowed the identification of an apartment, located in the southern Trento area, where the North African could have hidden. After having set up a suitable security device, the financiers broke into the aforementioned house and arrested the man, who at that moment was in the company of another compatriot without documents. During the photo-fingerprint tests on the latter subject to ascertain his personal details, it was discovered that it was a 26 year old Tunisian, against whom a “trace” order had been pending since November 2023 for the execution of a further precautionary custody order in prison issued by the Court of Trento, for crimes resulting from the dealing of narcotic substances. The 3 arrested are now at the Trento prison, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority. The narcotic seized, in relation to its degree of purity and consequent “cut”would have generated over 15,000 doses single averages, allowing a profit of over 1.5 million euros in the Trentino area.
The service activity is part of the intensification of the economic control services of the territory ordered by the Provincial Command of Trento and focused, among other things, on the fight against illicit trafficking of narcotic substances.
