Libyan-Egyptian discussions on the sidelines of the Islamic Summit in Gambia

Representative in the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, held discussions with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, on the sidelines of the 15th summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, which began today, Saturday, in the Gambian capital, Bingol.

The Presidential Council’s media office reported that the meeting discussed the latest developments in the situation in Libya and ways to develop joint cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries in many fields.

During his meeting with Sameh Shukri, Al-Koni stressed the importance of the recommendations that will be made to serve the Palestinian cause.

Representative in the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, participated in the 15th summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, which began today, Saturday, in the Gambian capital, Bingol, under the slogan “Promoting unity and solidarity through dialogue for sustainable development.”

The leaders of the member states will discuss the political issues of the Islamic world, most notably the Palestinian issue, and the issues of youth, women, the family, science, technology, media, and Muslim communities and groups in non-member countries of the organization, according to what the Presidential Council’s media office reported.

The summit, which concludes its work tomorrow, Sunday, will also discuss issues related to rejecting hate speech and Islamophobia, promoting dialogue, and issues of climate change and food security.

It is noteworthy that the summit is being held at the five-star Atlantic Hotel in the capital, Bingol, which it owns and manages Libya Africa Investment Portfolio.
