The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has noticeable lag when taking photos compared to many of its competitors.
As Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru, the Android Authority portal reports this.
During the review, the portal’s journalist drew attention to the frankly slow shutter release in the S24 Ultra compared to the Pixel 8 Pro. The average delay is about a third of a second. Because of this, you can miss the “moment” when shooting a moving object and, in many other scenarios, get a completely different shot than the user expects.
To somehow improve this indicator, you can download the Camera Assistant module integrated into the Good Lock application. The add-on is available in the Galaxy Store. A special feature of this module is the Quick Tap function, which should minimize image capture time.
Based on Android Authority’s tests, Quick Tap really helps, especially in good lighting conditions. In low light conditions and at night, the difference is still present, but it has been significantly reduced thanks to the innovation.
The journalist suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone takes a photo not at the moment when the user presses the capture button, but when he removes his finger from it, which is why the delay occurs.
