The journalist and collector, Aris Loupasis, published on Instagram a rare photo in which Aliki Vougiouklakis and Nora Valsami are casually posing on a beach in Theologos on Easter 1992. To be precise, this particular beach was Aliki’s “hidden paradise”. It is right below her house and the late actress loved it. Many times he looked for moments of inner peace and tranquility in her.
Aris Loupasis writes in his post:
Aliki Vougiouklaki with her best friend Nora Valsami, Easter 1992 in the picturesque creek, her “port” as she called it, which is located directly below the country house she kept in Theologos Fthiotidas. Her strong friendship with Nora begins in the summer of 1986 during the rehearsals of “Lysistrates” by Aristophanes and will last for ten whole years until Alice’s death, which will collapse “Nori” as he called her, which is still struggling to this day to manage and overcome it.
These Holy Days of 1992 will be spent in the company of dear relatives and friends, including her only son Giannis, her mother Amy, her brother Takis with his actress wife Efi Pikula, Kostas Spyropoulos, Nora with Errikos Andreou, journalist Spyros Pagiatakis and her close friend archaeologist-Egyptologist Mumou Iliopoulou.
She will adore Theologos from the first moment when in 1968, during her married life with Dimitris Papamichail, she will visit him for the filming of the movie “Our Love” and both of them will be enchanted by the beauty of the place and after his urging of their colleague Petros Lohaitis who keeps a house in the area, they decide to buy a plot of land where they then build a wonderful detached house above the sea. There she will spend the best summers of her life and will be photographed for countless magazine covers, constituting her “earthly paradise” and her sanctuary.
The last renovation of the house shortly before the onset of the disease, he did not have time to enjoy it, constantly expressing the wish from the hospital that he would get well quickly in order to travel to “home” in Theologos as he called it. A dream that, unfortunately, he will not be able to realize, and yet only the mention of this particular place will refer to her name every time as she sealed it with her presence.
