Banjul: OIC Summit highlights strategic importance of HM the King’s Initiative for “Atlantic African States”

Banjul – The 15th Summit Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Banjul, Republic of Gambia, highlighted the strategic importance of HM King Mohammed VI’s Initiative for “States Atlantic Africans.

In the Final Communiqué sanctioning its work, the 15th OIC Summit Conference welcomes the “Atlantic African States” Initiative, launched by His Majesty the King as a process towards an African partnership aimed at strengthening the ties of cooperation and integration between African countries bordering the Atlantic, in order to consolidate peace, stability and common prosperity in the region.

The Summit also welcomed the initiative of His Majesty the King aimed at “promoting the access of the Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean and underlined the strategic importance of this Initiative which is part of the active solidarity of the Morocco with brother African countries, in general, and the Sahel region in particular.
