She then gave the diagnosis: aneurysm congenital to the basilar artery. He underwent a delicate surgery in Phoenix, in the United States, given that due to the high risk of the operation no Italian surgeon wanted to take responsibility. Following her surgery, the left side of her body was initially paralysed, but later managed to recover completely.

In 1999 she was then hit by a stroke, but once again manages to get back to his feet. “When half your body is dead, it gets tough. But I never gave up, the circle of the disease is closed, defeated » she told La Repubblica.
